Larry has held positions as President, Vice President & General Manager and Chief Product and Development Engineer for three different companies. Responsibilities and accomplishments included P&L’s, increasing sales by 5X, developed cost accounting systems, measured sales by profitability, received ISO certification, implemented Lean initiative reducing scrap by 50% and increased production by 23%, JIT scheduling, purchasing through supply chain management, developed form of "Top Grading” for HR increasing staff effectiveness. Ashtabula County’s Growth Partnership named Larry’s company as "Best in the County”, 2007.
A passionate learner with an MBA from Lake Erie College, a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from Syracuse University, and a B.S. degree in Forest Engineering, State University of New York, College of Environmental Science and Forestry at Syracuse University. Harvard Business School seminars for Line of Business Studies, various seminars in Lean, ISO, Kaizen, Muda, co-authored Engineering text, authored numerous articles in various publications.
An active Member, Board of Directors and Executive Board, Boy Scouts of America, Greater Western Reserve Council, Warren, Ohio. Larry led the effort to write the Council’s first five year Strategic Plan, (2009-2014). Past member of the Board of Directors, Lake County YMCA, past Chair of Outdoor Family Center branch.
